- How long is the workshop?
It is a one day workshop. Staring at 10 am and ending at about 4pm. There is a break in between the sessions. Lunch is not provided. Bring a pen along
- When is the exam written?
The exam is written on the same day of the workshop, at the end of the training. Candidates who register for only the exam/challenge exam are to be available in the last 2 hours of the workshop session.
- What is the pass mark?
The pass mark is 70% in the written exam
- When will I get my certificate?
The Food Handlers certificate will be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks. It is issued by the province of Manitoba and valid for 5 years.
- Who should attend?
All owners, managers and supervisors of food service establishments.
All food service personnel who are responsible for the receiving, preparing and serving of food.
NOTE: ¨ In accordance with the City of Winnipeg Food Service Bylaw: No person shall operate a food service establishment unless the person in charge has successfully completed the Certified Food Handler Training program. ¨ Food Service Establishments with less than 5 Food Handlers must have a person on staff who has successfully completed the Certified Food Handler Training program. ¨ Food Service Establishments with more than 5 Food Handlers working at any one time must have a person who has successfully completed the Certified Food Handler Training Program ON DUTY at all times.
- What is your cancellation policy?
We do not issue refunds. You are able to reschedule a class date (a $10 administrative fee will apply). Please notify us of your desire to reschedule at least 7 days before the training date you signed up for. Note that you cannot reschedule for a class later than 7 days prior, nor for a missed attendance; full payment will be required.
